BLS Skills Test

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider (HCP) Online Test offers a flexible CPR training option for healthcare professionals. This program recognizes and appreciates that healthcare professionals enter the course with knowledge and skills acquired from prior CPR training and years of patient care.

How it works:

Part 1. Students complete the online, cognitive portion of the course, either at the workplace or anywhere with Internet access. When students finish the online portion, a certificate of completion will be available for them to print. The certificate is required to complete Part 2 at an authorized American Heart Association Training Center such as Heartline CPR, Inc.

To purchase BLS Healthcare Provider Online Part 1, go to onlineaha.org The cost is approximately $17.50 for the online portion.

Part 2. After completing the online test, healthcare providers schedule their skills validation test with an American Heart Association Instructor. Upon successful completion of both parts, students will be issued an American Heart Association BLS – Healthcare Provider Two Year Course Completion Card.
